The Schroth Method is the biggest school for Scoliosis Management in the world, initially developed in Germany in the 1920s by Katharina Schroth, the Schroth Method formed the backbone of "scoliosis specific exercise therapy".

It is a three-dimensional scoliosis-specific exercise program tailored to each person for managing scoliosis using the following techniques:
-
Elongation: Lengthen the spine towards neutral, sometimes using traction straps and ladders to assist
-
Corrective Breathing Techniques: Open up areas of the ribs and lungs that are constrained due to the scoliosis.
-
De-torsioning: Using wedges and props to assist the spine towards neutral
-
Strengthening: Improving strength in your new and improved alignment which helps to manage and treat pain, increase function and quality of life
Schroth therapy uses specific equipment including Schroth ladders, poles, trunk positioning props to bring alignment to the spine available at our all our clinic locations.
